TANGRA

Bringing the energy of Kolkata to Soho.

Born from the meeting of Chinese technique and Indian flavour, Indo-Chinese cuisine became one of India's great social dining traditions.

From the jazz bars and landmark restaurants of Kolkata's Park Street to lively family celebrations and late-night gatherings, it is food designed to be shared, bringing together cultures, friends and families around one table.

Tangra brings that same energy to Frith Street.

Two neighbourhoods defined by theatre, music, nightlife and culture.

A restaurant built for conversation, celebration and generous hospitality.

OUR FOOD

Rooted in Indian, Chinese and Nepalese cooking, our menu is entirely our own.

Masalas and sauces are made in-house, blending Indian spices with the best British produce we can find.

It's food that takes what's familiar and gives it a twist you don't expect: our Chinese Bhel, crispy noodles with green mango achar and chilli tamarind - or our Laccha Paneer, Indian cheese layered with smoked almonds in a rich tomato makhani.

Even dessert gets the same treatment: our Gulab Jamun Tiramisu turns two classics into one.

The pleasure is in the contrast — crisp against soft, comfort beside surprise. Food built for the middle of the table: generous, vibrant, made to be shared. Familiar in one bite, unexpected in the next.
